Designed as more than a marathon, it is a movement that positions Bengaluru on the national running map, where every step champions health, belonging and the planet. At its heart, MAHETHON is envisioned as Bengaluru’s biggest running festival. A celebration where sport meets purpose and where thousands come together to promote sustainability on an unprecedented scale. From green pledges and eco-friendly race practices to collaborative impact projects, MAHETHON turns the act of running into a collective step towards a better future.
AIMS Certified Course
The MAHE Bengaluru Marathon “MAHETHON” powered by Axis Bank route is officially certified by AIMS – Association of International Marathons and Distance Races,the global organization that partners with World Athletics to ensure the highest standards for road race measurements.
An AIMS Certified Course guarantees:
- International Measurement Standards followed using the Jones Counter Method
Exact Distance Accuracy- Half Marathon: 21.0975 KM
- 10 KM
- 5 KM
- Eligibility for World Rankings, Records & Qualification
- Times recorded on AIMS-certified routes are globally recognized
- Consistency and Reliability
- Runners can track true personal performance improvements across events worldwide
This certification confirms that runners completing the race have covered the precise official distance, neither short nor unmeasured.
To earn AIMS certification, the FCM course underwent:
